Deel 12 richt zich op de legendarische studiosessies van de albums 'Bringing It All Back Home', 'Highway 61 Revisited' en 'Blonde On Blonde' waarmee Dylan zich definitief op de kaart zette als songwriter en artiest. Op het allernieuwste deel in de Dylan bootleg serie staan onuitgebrachte studio opnames, inclusief nog niet eerder vrijgegeven liedjes, outtakes, repetitienummers en verschillende versies van de albums 'Bringing It All Back Home', 'Highway 61 Revisited' en 'Blonde On Blonde'. Het album komt uit op 6 november via Legacy Recordings.
Alle opnames op The Cutting Edge 1965 - 1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 zijn één op één overgenomen en gemixt vanaf de originele opnamebanden.
